"PETA's latest attempt to expose animal cruelty in video games turns its critical eye towards the Pokémon franchise.
The animal rights group released a new online game called "PETA's Pokémon Black & Blue," a well-timed attempt to raise awareness of mistreated Pokémon that coincides with the release of Pokémon Black and White 2.
PETA's browser game features similar gameplay to the Pokémon games except the classic characters are fighting their oppressive trainers who keep them cooped-up in restrictive balls until they need them to fight.
According to the website, PETA said it made the game to raise awareness of how Pokémon "stuffed in pokéballs is akin to how elephants are chained up in train carts" and that the "Pokémon games paint rosy pictures of things that are actually horrible".
"If PETA existed in Unova, our motto would be: Pokémon are not ours to use or abuse. They exist for their own reasons. We believe that this is the message that should be sent to children."
What Idiots! I'm still unfazed by this! This is Politically correct Junk! I agree you should free animals but this is rubbish!
